Take the #hillsboroartsmonth Challenge

Take the Arts Month Challenge!

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to take the Hillsboro Arts Month challenge by exploring a new arts or cultural experience in each of the genres listed below throughout the month of October. Step out of your comfort zone in the name of creativity, and support local arts and cultural businesses by participating in a class, performance, discussion or tour. Then, post your adventures on social media with #HillsboroArtsMonth.

Check out the month’s featured events in every category:

Cultural: Don’t miss the Hillsboro Historical Society’s one-of-a kind Time Traveler’s Ball on October 14 or explore M&M Marketplace during their Dia De los Muertos Celebration on October 29.

Dance: Join in on the beginning and intermediate Salsa dance meetup at Lines Dance Studio every Tuesday in October. Enroll the kids in ballet, tap, or contemporary classes at Northwest Conservatory of Dance.

Literary: Hillsboro Public Library’s Hillsboro Reads events maintain the excitement for this year’s selection, The Other Wes Moore, throughout the month. Stop by the Walters Cultural Arts Center for Open Poetry Night on October 10.
